Success and Failure
There are several rules that you might now be aware of that have contributed to my success and I think they will do the same for yours. These apply to real estate and also to all areas of your life,

Focus on solutions- Once you  have identified the problem move on. Donald Trump told me that one.

Don’t take no for an answer

Better to ask forgiveness than permission

A confused mind says no. People love to say no- especially people with authority. Just be reasonable and weigh the consequences. If it’s minor- just do it

Don’t be afraid to think outside the box

Don’t be afraid to fail

If you do it right, you can make offers without any way to lose. If you have the right weasel clauses in your contract, you can’t lose money. (You should see my contracts- they are nothing more than options)

Don’t be victim to paralysis of analysis

Get some knowledge and then just go out and do it. If you never get further than seminars, you won’t make money. You actually have to make offers. If you do it right, you can’t lose- especially if you have a mentor to go to for questions.

Don’t trust anyone- verify

Realtors lie, mortgage brokers lie, sellers lie, contractors lie. (Not all but some so don’t take anyone’s word for anything) Do your own homework. Check the comps, check all contracts before you sign, go through a contractor’s contract item by item and be skeptical.
