More workers left Ca.than moved in

From 2007 to 2013, Ca lost 247,515 more workers than it gained. Housing is the main culprit. It’s the biggest item in the budget and affordability has gone way down in the last few years and income did not keep up. Most of thos who left earn less than 50 a year.

This can be a problem. If ca. is to grow, we need workers. Those who are moving in tend to be college educated and have higher incomes. That’s great for tax revenue but we need more people who fill in the lower end.
